FUNCTION summary:

Manage the Americas and Australasia Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) portfolio in compliance with Group purchasing policies in force.  Actively contribute to the optimization of the purchases for which he/she is responsible. Coordinate activities of his/her perimeter at Group level.

 

MAIN ACTIVITIES:

(The following essential contributions list cannot be exhaustive. Complementary activities arising from those described or enrolling in the same line can be added without questioning the nature of the assigned job) :

 

  1. Purchasing & Costs Optimization

Manage the Americas and Australasia CMO portfolio in accordance with Company needs in terms of quantity, quality, and time as well as Group purchasing policies and budgetary commitments.

Negotiate purchase costs in order to achieve the earnings objectives defined with consideration to all elements of the specifications.  Realize any proposed action plan to contribute to this objective.

 

  1. CMO Coordination

Animate and coordinate the activity of the Americas and Australasia CMO Portfolio with specified CMO teams consisting of technical, quality, supply and purchasing support. Identify and report the activities generated by this team.

 

  1. CMO relationship

Develop strong and consistent relationships with CMOs, in the context of the rules defined by Group purchasing policy (securing supplies, double sourcing, sustainability of sources, contracting...). Establish and update the panel of CMOs.

 

  1. Budget

Develop and propose in collaboration with finance, the purchasing budgets within his/her perimeter in coordination with the other implicated departments in the Group.  Carry out monitoring of the CMO purchasing budget, in accordance with the defined objectives.

 

  1. CMO Specifications

Ensure the dissemination and acceptance of specifications and regulatory information by CMOs in compliance with the requirements of the regulatory file, GMP (Quality Department) and technical requirements. Work to improve quality indicators by setting up corrective actions with CMOs.

 

  1. CMO Assessment & Performance

Monitor CMOs performance by organizing Business Review Meetings (BRM).  Establish assessment tools and performance indicators, ensure their update, and lead the necessary corrective action plans in case of problems. Assure, in coordination with quality assurance, coordination of CMO audits (initial audit and follow-up audits).

 

  1. Sourcing & Technologic oversight

Develop the supplier portfolio in order to refer new CMOs and monitor technological capabilities of CMOs. Actively participate in improving the rate of the CMO portfolio securitization.

 

  1. Follow up & Reporting

Ensure the follow-up of his/her activity, in particular by the maintenance of indicators, the monitoring of the proposed budgets, the drafting and - or the application of the procedures of his/her activities, including a regular reporting to his/her hierarchy on activity. Propose the action plans for each of the subjects treated with an associated schedule - management in project mode. Communicate the results obtained, making the necessary recommendations.

Profil requis

Engineer or commercial school degree: Important

More than 6 years’ experience in similar position: Important

Microsoft Office proficiency: Important

Fluent in English: Necessary

  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to understand and establish contractual agreements

  

CONDITIONS SPECIFIC TO THE FUNCTION:

  • Frequent travel (25-30%)
